I'm moving!!

This is the last post I'll be doing here on Blogger. I'm moving over to a new snazzy location on Wordpress. It's nothing exciting yet but in no time flat it'll be all set up and brimming with new patterns, new yarns and fun accessories. You will also be able to check out right there! So stay tuned for news and updates. New listings will be going up tomorrow :)

Life Is Good...

Designing new colorways for Autumn is one of my favorite things to do. As summer starts to wind down I start to crave cozy evenings spent at home with my knitting more and more. Summertime has many joys but for me you can't beat the exciting hustle and bustle of back-to-school shopping, shorter days and the crispness in the air.

 Pictured above is 'I'm Your Huckleberry'.  For me it doesn't get better than the perfect shade of purple. This one is my current favorite and I want to just dive into it. 

'Olive You' is a nice, dark olive green that is beautiful and relaxing. It's also lovely when paired with 'I'm Your Huckleberry' or 'Sincerest Pumpkin Patch'...

'Sincerest Pumpkin Patch' is a shade that Linus would love. Is there anything that can take the years away and make you feel happy and free better than watching 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown'? I didn't think so. Once Upon A Time sock yarn club

I am very proud to announce the all new, entirely awesome Once Upon a Time inspired yarn club! 

Sign ups have already begun and spots are limited so don't miss your chance! September (date TBA) will be the last date to sign up as packages will begin shipping the first week of October.  This will be a three month club and each month you will receive two amazing skeins of yarn, one handpainted and one a coordinating semi-solid. There will be three different bases and you will receive a different one each month. Each month's  box  will also include a pattern from a different designer to complement the yarn you get. Designers will be announced soon so stay posted!

Knitting Notebooks

All new knitting notebooks available on my NEW etsy site KnitsomniacDesign.etsy.com!!!

 

There are many styles to choose from and all of them are handmade by me with vintage scraps, scrapbook papers etc then professionally laminated to stand up to years of use and abuse in your knitting bag or handbag. 

I keep one with me at all times for pattern notes, colorway ideas, etc. I even use one for recipes on the go! 

These cute little books are 4 x 6 inches and come with 100 sheets in them but can easily hold up to 200 sheets. You can refill them with regular index cards or you can order refills as needed.

Perfect for teacher gifts or for a knitting buddy  too :)

New colorways!

I just created three new colorways which will be added to my store this Thursday. The first one is Peacock---

The second color is American Woman---

And the third (and my favorite I think) is 

The Green Dragon---

 As of now these three shades will be custom order only but I plan to start stocking them soon.  Next up are Once Upon a Time-inspired colorways. Woot! Woot!

Bootcamp...

I also just got back from a week camping with the girls from our church group. We had almost 300 girls! It was a boot camp theme and we had military there to talk about how the women are what held everything together during WW2. It was awesome and the girls all liked hearing about some girl power.
